LWA Users Meeting 2019
Thanks to generous support from the National Science Foundation we will
be restarting our annual LWA Users meetings.
The first of these will be held on August 1-3 (Thursday-Saturday), 2019
in Albuquerque NM. The first two days of the meeting will consist of
talks and tutorials, while the last day will be an optional visit to
the LWA-SV station and the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge. We should
be back in Albuquerque by noon.
Please check this page regularly for new information about the meeting.

Reception:
There will be a reception on Thursday at 6pm at the Physics and Astronomy
building (building 207 on the attached campus map). This will include ample
food and drink (but no alcohol since we are on campus).
Presentations:
Most talks are expected to be 20 minutes including Q&A. All talks
should be brought on a USB drive to the meeting and uploaded there
to the presentation laptop at the start of the meeting or during one of
the breaks. We can support powerpoint, pdf, or keynote. Please
provide a title by e-mail to me by July 15. The final agenda will go
out on July 18.
Accomodations: There are many options in Albuquerque. Below are a few suggestions:

Only 10 minutes walking distance from UNM and about the same to Central
Avenue where there are many restaurants.

There is a city bus that goes to UNM campus, and a hotel van that might
be able to take you to UNM, please check with the hotel.
Venue: Changed to Dane Smith Hall room 120 (ground floor). The Science and Math Learning Center was recently vandalized so we have had to find a new room for the meeting.
Here is a link to
the UNM campus map showing the Dane Smith Hall (building 48)
marked with a red oval.
Parking: is available on the North side of Lomas across from Golden
Pride (1835 Lomas Blvd NE) for $3 for up to 12 hours (no in/out priveledges). You will need
exact change in coins or bills. This lot is unattended. Also there is parking
available at ParkIT Place Lot 40 at 201 Univerity Blvd NE (in front of the Methodist church)
for $8 for 12 hours. Or on campus in the Yale or Cornell
parking structures (building 144 or 198) for $2/hour or $16/day.
Do not park in the M lot, or any of the other UNM permitted lots as
UNM parking is one of the most efficient organizations on campus and
they will find you and ticket you.
